ABOUT Operation Blankets of Love (OBOL)

Eileen Smulson, Founder

Operation Blankets of Love is a non profit 501 © organization and a one-of-a-kind animal welfare advocate. The Charity rescues the rescuers at scores of animal shelters and organizations throughout
California and across the USA. Located in Granada Hills (LA), the animal comfort organization has a two man operation and dozens of volunteers and supporters. OBOL is like The American Red Cross to the animal rescue world 24/7.

Operation Blankets of Love’s Humane Education Learning Program (HELP) provide valuable lessons from nursery kids to college level including animal law students. The program inspires students and teachers to become proactive and participate in OBOL collections. Sometimes OBOL offers small groups a private tour, where they get first-hand experience seeing the affect of a soft blanket. OBOL relies on donations via mail or Online on the website.

Research reveals that animals in shelters, who are given blankets, pet beds and comforters are able to relax and get comfortable more in their new surroundings. The donated items help animals feel safe and provide warmth and comfort while reducing stress so that the animals appear friendlier and in a home-like environment while in a cage. It makes adoption smoother.

If you can’t make to the Lazy Dog Café, feel free to make a donation at OBOL’s website:
www.OperationBlanketsofLove.org  and click on the donate Flyer or here at http://tiny.cc/8yairw ) Remember: If your dog is well-behaved you can bring your pet!
